WooHoo itÂ’s tickle a Teapotter time! Wanda aka wendy2512, has given us a terrific story about Daisy-May her best friend Dixie and the annual Harvest Dance. Our challenge is to bring something that will help make a pretty dress for the dance.
Daisy-May and Dixie still can’t find the cord to their sewing machine so they decided to meet up at Miss Wanda’s Boutique after school. As you can see Daisy-May is already in the shop keeping an eye out for Dixie, she has found the perfect dress on display in the front window. You can imagine her surprise when Dixie turns up in almost an identical dress (almost two sizes too big for her – but that’s another story).
Now about the card, this is a double stair step card (you didnÂ’t see that coming did you). Even though Daisy-May is just a head and neck, she did start out as a full sized Sassy Cheryl digi image. She wouldnÂ’t fit behind the window, so a little trimming was necessary.
Dixie also started out life a Sassy Cheryl digi image – normally she is carrying a fishing rod, I had to cut the fishing rod off for obvious reasons. I have given her a little handbag – she carries it like a mini Kim Kardashian don’t you think. Her dress is a bit too big and her arm looked like it was sticking out of her tummy, so I cut her arm off, trimmed the dress sleeve, then stuck her arm back on.
All the usual trimmings have been added – awnings, flourishes, push bike (a gift from lovely Peggy more than a year ago). The lamppost was a RAK from a Teapotter – I got a few tickle treats muddled up recently, so I am not sure who this is from, but I do love it.
Have a great week ladies. Thank you for looking.

The dresses you have made for the girls remind me of the dresses my Mom used to make for my sisters and I. Drop waist was very in at that time. How cute that you've called this fun creation Miss Wanda's Boutique. Fun, playful and so much your signature style, Susie! A wonderful treat for the tickle recipient!

Oh my gosh! This is just too cute. Your thought process and attention to detail is amazing. Another wonderful card. Please don't ever stop doing your step cards. The other cards in your gallery are good also, but your step cards just scream "Hi, I'm Susie Australia" they are your signature cards and I just don't think I've ever seen anything like them posted anywhere else. I know they are a lot of work and you can feel the fun and love in every one of them. Bravo, another wonderful creation.

I LOVE Miss Wanda's Boutique! Daisy Mae and Dixie are as delightful and charming as they can be...Houndstooth is one of my favorite patterns and I love the dresses and the strip on the hat with the genius bit of netting for the hat accessory. I thought I was the only one that forgot who sent me what in the way of things mailed to me by my fellow crafters. I was thinking I should put little bitty intials on the backs of things. I love that you have gotten such good use from the push bike die...best money I ever spent. As usual your step card scene has wonderful details and is so much fun. Pinned and Faved!

I never know which I enjoy more...your terrific cards or your great stories. I could sit and enjoy all the creative details on your creations forever. I would love to create a little village scene by taking all of your Sassy Cheryl cards and arranging theme into a scene. This is another masterpiece.

You do the most amazing paper surgery, Susie ;-). Dixie's little clutch bag is just the sweetest, and I love the tulle in her hat.
(And you have the most amazing die collection, too.)
I just love that houndstooth dress. It reminds me of a hooded poncho/cape thing my mother made me when I was about 5 or 6, only it was red not black - but houndstooth check always takes me right back.
