For this week's WTUI challenge from Michelle - Back To Old School , anything chalkboard-related.
I've combined it with Amber's challenge to the CCEE Stampers.
Chalkboard Tutorial HERE
Herringbone Tutorial HERE.
I used BG Gypsy papers for my herringbone and also for the frames - for the frame around the herringbone panel I used some spare strips, painted them with gesso and then swiped them with Tumbled Glass. The embossed frame round the chalkboard panel was embossed, sanded, sponged with the same blue, and then coated with a couple of layers of UTEE.
I stamped on the button with StazOn for a little extra interest. I also painted the heart on the sentiment with some dilute white re-inker and then coloured it red. The card is finished off with some sequins (some popped up on foam dots) and Liquid Pearls.

Love this sentiment and such truth in those words. Love the added sequins for the sparkle.

Great job of combining the CCEE challenge with the WT challenge, Sabrina! The soft pretty colors of the herringbone contrast nicely with the black/white of the chalkboard. Lovely card!

Wonderful card with a "homespun" quality, Sabrina. Love your "pieced quilt" bg, snippet of lace and scattered sequins(for a little glamour) All setting off your chalkboard with some advice for life....and so true, "we can never go back to yesterday."
