Becky is our hostess this week, and she has given us a beautiful color challenge of Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Lost Lagoon. I substituted Blue Bayou for Lost Lagoon, which was an In Color in 2007-2008! And yes, I still had some!
For our dessert option, Becky challenged us to include something that was recycled on our card. I had just received a small box in the mail, and had already tossed it into the recycle basket when I saw the challenge. Out it came, and I used my Fun Flowers die to cut the base for my flower from the box. Then I used my new favorite toy, embossing paste and a drop of Calypso Coral reinker, and I slathered the paste over the surface of my flower.
After it dried, I thought it needed some additional dimension besides the texture from the paste, so I masked the centers of the petals, air brushed the edges with Copic E08, and added a few lines in the centers of the petals with the brush end of the marker.
The rest is pretty straightforward, and I must say I do love this color combo! Thanks for a lovely challenge, Becky, and thanks to you for stopping by!

Beautiful way to use these colors, Barbara! The first color I thought to substitute for Lost Lagoon was Blue Bayou since I don't own LL. Love your design; such a nice way to let someone know you are thinking of them~

Love your layout and how you used the die cut upside down. Your flower really has a great presence! Beautiful use of the challenge colours. The vellum behind your butterfly adds great movement. I keep seeing things I love about your card!
