It's hard to believe summer is nearly at an end and this is my final card as part of the CAS Summer 2014 design team. Jen gave us a coloring challenge. I know that watercoloring is huge right now, but I'm about to invest in copics so I thought I'd bring my prismacolor pencils back out and do a little work with gamsol.
I also did something that made me very nervous but I'm glad I did - I cut the original stamp apart. It had random grape leaves on the left side and a window on the right. I wanted to focus on the table with the wine, so I cut out the extraneous images. I'm happy that I did.
This card will be given to a friend and coworker who is retiring next week. She loves wine, so I thought this would be perfect for her.

I went winetasting with my good friend earlier today, so this really caught my eye. I love the look you created with your pencils. Really nice coloring.

This is a wonderful CAS card!! My DH would so relate to this, he is retired and at 5.00pm each evening this is the question he asks me!! My answer is, of course, yes please!!! Thank you for helping to make the CAS Challenges so much fun!!

Great job pulling that stamp apart and coloring with your prismas!! I know your friend will love this card. And you know the phrase, it's always 5 o'clock somewhere. :>)
