When I saw it, I immediately thought of this DP which has been sitting with my scraps FOREVER, needing to be loved! I kept similar colors, kept it as a birthday card. Instead of black flourishes, I chose to add a black word bubble. My turtle gets lost a bit...but I like using a turtle for a birthday card. I am giving this to an older brother in law! *wink*

You got a great look by combining the bright colors with the black mats. And I think you did okay with the turtle - the word bubble draws your eye to it quite well.

SilverSnow took the words right out of my mouth when she commented about your turtle. I think exactly the same thing! Love your dramatic black sentiment bubble against those vibrant colours. Nice tribute to Christyne!
