When I saw that Dina was this week's queen I was very excited..she is one of my idols on SCS...the Queen of Mixed Media if I may be so bold! I could get lost in her gallery but I finally went with this mixed media beauty for inspiration. I incorporated the same technique she used on my bg..applying watercolors to an ef , spritzing with water, and then pressing down. I wanted to recognize her as an artist and I thought this quote could easily be her motto. Congrats Dina and enjoy you week! This is also for the IC challenge where Audrie and Nancy took us to the Design Seeds Blog. I chose this green and blue palette for my colors.

Polly, this is such a beautiful palette of colors. The BG is wonderful with all the splash of color, and your vase and brushes are colored so well. A wonderful card in Dina's honor and great take on your inspiration.

Wow- you've employed some great techniques here! Beautiful color choices, too, but to me the background is perfect, and your water coloring on the paint pot image is spot-on. Wow!

This is such a perfect way to honor Dina's amazing talents. First, I pinned it and then I fav'd it. Now I'm going to tell you how I really feel: AWESOME!

Ohhhhhhhhhh Polly, I love love love it, down to the last tiny splatter - thank you! Your card is beautiful, and you represented so many elements of 'me' and my heart, and the card you chose in my gallery! I just looked up at my wall, and the canvas I made with this quote... "She decided for art, to make her life art... it would all be art, worship, a gift back."
