I picked out this beautiful image in blues because I wanted to try those colours with a Memory Box stencil I received as a gift this week. I tried on both regular card and watercolour paper and decided that I really need to use misters and not a brush - and I don't have that wide a range of blues that I can mix for misting! So I recycled my watercolour-washed background and combined it with this beautiful cactus image. At least that let me use my new dies I had to buy after seeing some of Priscilla's gorgeous cards ;-).
Watercolour paper misted and washed with H2Os.
I used another scrap of watercolour paper and more H2Os plus a drop of Iced Spruce re-inker for my feathers. The vase is punched from a scrap of old BG paper, and shaped slightly. I distressed the edges, added a sentiment and some tiny bling and mounted it on a kraft base.
Now I have to find the other image I found this morning and didn't bother bookmarking, woe is me.
Thanks for a fun and very inspirational site, Audrie.

Great watercolor background, Sabrina! And I love the feathers in the vase. I just bought some feather dies, and I'll have to remember to use them that way.

Well, I could have sworn you didn't "need" any more feather dies. But, I think you did, because you really know how to use them beautifully! I love the background and pot to show of your new dies. I think this has a bit of a southwestern feel to it.

Lovely card, Sabrina. I really like the blues with the wonderful color you chose for the vase, and the cord bow looks fabulous. Such a southwest feel. The feathers are the perfect focal point. Also, I like your new profile pix.

You did great!!! I chose the same page and ran into trouble recreating the range of blues I wanted so I ended up using the general color blue and the patterned walls as my inspiration. I LOVE what you designed and the fabulous color wash you used for your bg! Clever and Creative adding a 2nd photo inspiration with the vase!!! Great card!
