I was restocking my depleted "boy birthday" stocks and had happily created a punch art pirate which fits in with WT491.
I hand drew the woodgrain pattern on the porthole and the background planks - strangely relaxing, once you get the hang of it.
I had a look at Sabrina's card in the gallery and shameless stole her idea of adding brads around the porthole. I didn't have the right brads, so substituted glitter glue. Which I smudged. Twice....
The banner's a bit too stark on the card but my inking skills aren't great so I think I'll leave it with some Ancient Page sponged onto it. Pirate cards are wonderfully forgiving - smudges are good! At least, that's what I'm telling myself!

Your drawing of the planks and woodgrain is great, Di, especially on the porthole! Not relaxing for me to do, though. Smudges and blots will all be good as they confuse where the treasure is ;-), but I don't see any. I love his little gingham bandana - do I see a ballon punch there?
