TodayÂ’s Technique Challenge is all about embossed water color (itÂ’s also a revisit of TLC16. Love water color & I thought these flower images & dies would be perfect for white embossing then water coloring.
On water color paper, I white embossed the big Flower bg then used water brush & Peerless water colors to add the color. I started out trying to use the colors from the CAS285 Challenge, but IÂ’m not sure I can get away with calling this clean & simpleÂ…though it wasnÂ’t complicated. For the die cut flowers & leaves, I white embossed the line versions, then painted the water colors directly on the solid versions and stamped over. I attached these to a white panel w/ a die cut border on which I stamped the greeting. The large background was attached underneath.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups & even the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff

I really am going to have to change my pinterest "cards I like" board to "the Julie board". This is just too pretty. Great choice of stamps for this technique. The colors are perfect and the die cut looks fantastic. If you could bottle your creativity and sell it you would be rich.

Julie, this jumped off the gallery pages. Such beautiful vibrant colors. And love how you carried the watercoloring so it pops out from under the die. GORGEOUS!
