Fabulous challenge to-day. I absolutely love this technique. I used Arches 140lb watercolour paper which took the embossing powder a lot better than I thought it would. I tried to use as many pieces of scrap as I could so I have no idea who made the DP.

Sue, your watercoloring is exquisitely done......and in the style that I like....done with layers of washes, but still with transparency and no "muddiness". "Keeping the whites"( a watercolorist's mantra) is not easy to do and you did it beautifully. GORGEOUS card!!

Wow, I'm impressed that the Arches took the EP that well, Sue. It's certainly perfect for giving 100% watercolour look. And the soft floral DP in the background is lovely too.
This brings me back to the days when we used to get invited to the openings of the Dublin Watercolour Society exhibitions .

Directly into my faves, Sue. I don't think you've ever posted a flower I didn't love. I've been concentrating on watercoloring for months now and I know it's not easy to achieve the look you got here....really, really lovely!!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?

Your beautiful flower appears to be floating on a most lovely colored bg, Sue! The way you achieved the deep shades toward the center and lighter shades toward the outer parts is fabulous!

So, could we vote for a challenge "winner"? I echo what all the others said - you're a real artists with the watercolors. But I'd also like to comment that without those touches of black, this card would lose some of its elegance. Thanks for being a great inspiration!
