I needed to make a Sympathy card...and I have wanted to use this die cut for a while.
This is a test...How many winged things can you find in the picture? O.K. just kidding... This feels a bit "busy" to me and kind of like one of those tests!
I made a frame with my gray cardstock using my Spellbinder matting dies. I cut down the flower die from Anna Griffin (a borrowed die, no name) so it would fit on this card. (It is a 5x7 die) A friend of mine loaned me her insect dies from Cheery Lynn Designs (I think) a while ago and I cut some in several colors so I added the Hummingbird, Dragonfly and cut a small Memory Box Butterfly to add to the mix. My Banner is from SU and is stamped with a SU sympathy sentiment from the Tiny Wishes set. I added three pearls to the bottom and called it good!
Thank you for stopping by! It is always appreciated!
Edit: Every time I pull this up I see that the picture is catty wampus...I am sure you will think I was drinking when I took this photograph...honestly it looks like the Leaning Tower of Pisa!

OMGosh, I was going to say the exact same thing as Barbara! When I saw the small image on the gallery that's what I thought of too. But... when you open up this treasure - Wow! The texture of the card stock provides a linen look which inturn makes the die cut stand out even more - like fine porcelain. Beautiful design and perfect for the challenges you've chosen.

Ditto to what both Barbara and Susie said, I, too, thought the same thing with my first glance... So gorgeous, and I love the little die cuts that you have added - they appear to belong to the scene.... TFS

What a gorgeous card and die, Peggy! I love that you used that neutral color as your card base allowing the white die to shine! You get such beautiful embossing from your dies and love the added black beads and butterflies!

I don't find this busy at all - it's beautiful and serene! I love the color combo, absolutely perfect for a sympathy card. I love that you placed some of the die under the frame and some over it. This has such a wonderful feel of dimension and is simple elegance.
