I had a sympathy card to make so I thought I would have a go at a CAS card. I stamped the roses. Loved them just like that....but then decided to use the SU embossing folder. Then I decided to frame that in a different color and the next thing I knew it had evolved into a card that was no longer CAS. But my INTENTION when I started out was that it would be. The die cut behind the oval Spellbinder frames is a Crafty Ann die. I really only wanted the edges of this die. It is actually turned upside down and it is really a die for a wedding or Valentines, but I liked the leaves and how they kind of went with the edges of my oval frames so that is all you get to see! The banner is from SU and it is stamped with a SU sentiment. Once again I made my Old Olive dots by punching circles of two different sizes and then using my stylus to make them look like they do. The trickiest thing is gluing them down with out messing up the shape of them.....
This for one of the ladies who works at the library I go to (weekly) and I have become friends with. Her father died and I wanted to make her a card. I will deliver it in person tomorrow.
Thank you for stopping in to take a look!

Your thoughtfulness will be appreciated more than you'll ever know. Lovely stamped image - nice and crisp, and framed beautifully. I also like the color combo, Peggy. Very nice design for Wendy's challenge.

Your color combination on this is gorgeous! I love that your paper matches your beautifully stamped roses and those frames are fabulous! How perfectly you shaped those dots and what patience you must have! You fooled me on those! A "Peggy" card is such a wonderful way to remember someone going through a difficult time!

Oh Peggy, I love it that you do SO many styles with such artistry and ease!!! Wonderful!!! This card is sure to bring great comfort to this dear lady you have befriended at the library--and that is worth SO much!!! You have such a big heart, and I admire you for being so kind and loving to everyone around you.
Beautiful rose, and I love the way you've framed it--wow!!! REALLY like how you've used just a bit of the leaves of the die on the bottom--ingenious!!! The color combination is just right for this rose, the brightness of the pink accentuates it in the rose, and it also provides a positive hue for this lady who is mourning a significant loss. The white provides elegance, and that shade of green is just right to accentuate the leaves.
And those dots, you've really peaked my curiousity, I'd like to try this!!! What a wonderful act of friendship and support!!!
I put this into my favorites last night, a computer malfunction prevented me from leaving a comment until now...
Hugs to you, and thank you for all of the ways you've encouraged and supported me here on SCS--how I appreciate it and I appreciate YOU!!!

Oh, Peggy, how did I miss THIS one? I love it! Now when a card starts out, you know we NEVER know exactly how it will turn out. It's sort of like a storybook - hehe!! What a beautiful card with the lovely dies you've layered and the embossed oval for your focal floral image! And the colors are beautiful together! I keep forgetting about doing the faux brads, and yes, another "fussiness" aspect to making our cards just the way we want them. It turned out so beautifully, and I've pinned it as well! Definitely need to try this. Hugs, sweet friend!
