For Lydia's closing DTGD Challenge! You'll find the details HERE
Of course, you'll need to be a Fan Club member to view, but that's easy....Fan Club info HERE! So go ahead and join and take the Dare to Get Dirty Challenge...you'll be so glad you did!
I'll say, I've been doing these challenges for a while...and even more since 2009 when I was first "dirty" and this has been a TERRIFIC year! I think the participation has been super..the galleries are fabulous..and everyone has been having a BLAST! Thanks so much, FAN CLUB MEMBERS! Y'all are the best!
For the last challenge this season, I made this window, or as I like to call it, outside in, card. Since I'm a Texas girl, gotta have a mustang! Even if I was way too young to have my dad's '65 mustang convertible passed down to me (what I wouldn't give to have it now!), I have this beautiful image.
The image was stamped w/ Versafine and I used some water soluble graphite I was trying out, and some water brushes to add some shading. After die cutting, I added a slightly larger black mat. As I was looking at the oval I cut it out of, I thought it might look neat to fold it into a card and put the mustang on the inside. So that's what I did. I also stamped & shaded a companion rope corner (I have pics on my blog) and put a greeting on the front.
Thanks so much for looking! More pics on my blog: The Write Stuff

I love it, Julie! I may just make another sample - I have some watersoluble graphite pencils (Derwent) that I love sketching with - I don't think I've ever done a full image.

HEY!!! This is the FIRST DTGD comment I've left and am starting to actually have a chance to LOOK at anything!!! But I had to tell you that, when I saw this come up in my email (from your blog) I thought I'd fall OUT! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW This is some of the best work I've EVER seen...esp in terms of depth, how unexpected it is (and yes...that's BIG in my book!!!!) and how long before I stop looking at it and thinking about it. You're 24 hours now, chica! Just some AWESOME work!!!
