Whew I finally made it. Faith gave us a fantastic and fun story last week about Sara and Tara at summer camp. Here we have their friends Lara and Clara. Lara snuck her little dog Brutusara into the tent and Clara is hanging around in the trees keeping an eye out for the camp leader.
Lara, Clara and Brutusara all started out life as digi stamps by Sassy Cheryl. This is a center step card, instead of stepping the sides back, i stepped the centre section back.
Every Christmas holidays (summer here in Aus) I went camping with my parents and brothers and we always took two kids from the local boys orphanage. Gee they were the good old days, five kids squished into the back of an old Ford. The camping grounds backed onto the beach, we would swim, fish and explore all day.
One year while we were exploring we found an old abandoned farm house. There was a small window open and as I was the tiniest, I was the one pushed through the opening. To cut a long story short, I broke my arm in the fall. We were too scared to tell mum and dad that we broke into the old house so we said I fell off the swings. Two weeks later there was an article in the local paper about the old abandoned houseÂ…Â…four deadly snakes were found in it!!!!! In my defense I would like it on the record that I was ten years old at the time. I have never done anything illegal since.
Thanks for looking, sorry for being so late to the teaparty. I mailed this to my Teapot tickle today. Have a great week ladies.

Fab texture in the card base to create a woody setting for the tent. I love the way one of the gals is peeking out through a tear in the tent, just as well they're not camping in Ireland or it would be getting pretty wet in there. Actually, last time we were in France camping, it rained so much on the morning of one of the days that we were meant to be moving on that we nearly couldn't take the tent down. But after lunch the sun came out and was strong enough to dry it. We've never taken a tent down so quickly, to get to our next destination and set up again (mostly! !) before dark. I've just realised something - you need a tandem diecut, LOL.
You must have been born accident-prone!!!

I'm amazed you didn't put deadly snakes on your card. thank heavens you didn't get bitten. I love the texture on the trees and the patches on the tent. Really cute Susie.

Thanks for the great story that turned scary1 Sorry you fell and got hurt BUT maybe even more scary is to know that had you not broken your arm and had to get out of there quick, you may have encountered the deadly snakes! The crazy things we do as kids, huh? Lara and Clara and the pup are all absolutely adorable! Love your emb, textured, inked bkgrd. Hope it doesn't rain. If it does, with all those patches on the tent, surely they'll get wet. Hee! Great card!

The fabulous story and the terrific card were sure worth waiting for. At least your broken arm story has "daring and adventurous" exploits about it. I broke my right arm my 1st year at UCLA and my left arm my 2nd year at UCLA ...both times during a water balloon fight in the dorms. Can anyone say "klutz". Your coloring is awsome and the layout is great. Love the little dog. Too cute.

You create the BEST scenes with your step cards...Great background using the wood grain EF so effectively... Love Clara hanging from the tree..I did a bit of that as a child... and I loved camp...You have certainly captured the feel of it! I tried to do that step card stle a few years ago. I still have the STACK of paper I went through trying to get the cut right...I made the card and couldn't part with it because I knew I would never make another! I love this...faved and pinned...

Awesomely cute! Love little Clara hanging from the tree and Lara and the pup peeking out from the tent. As for your life of crime - breaking and entering - well I guess since you were only 10, it should be over looked and not go on your permanent record. Besides, your broken arm was punishment enough. My brother, his friend and I did a very similar thing, but nobody got hurt. As for the snakes - you were so lucky!
