This is my card for this week's CC489. Vicki is our hostess and she chose bermuda bay, pool party and calypso coral for her color trio. Dessert is watercoloring.
I decided to go with a beach scene. I had several different beach stamps and decided to put them together to create my scene.
The water and sun is a stamp from Just For Fun. I colored the water with pool party re-inker and an aqua brush.
The sand and sandpipers are a stamp from Seaside Stampin' Ink. Colored with a creamy caramel water color crayon and basic gray ink.
My couple in the canoe is another stamp from Just For Fun. The paradise sentiment is another stamp from Seaside Stampin' Ink. I stamped that in coastal cabana ink.
I framed the scene in coastal cabana and then layered in calypso coral and whishper white.
That's my card for this week. Hope you can join along in the fun this week. You may be our next fave of the week and have your card featured on our Pinterest board. See the board here.

Mary, this is fantastic! One of the most difficult kinds of stamping for me is combining stamps to create a scene. You succeeded beautifully! Outstanding work and coloring too!

Mary, what a wonderful scene you've made here. Wish I were there with my hubby. Love vacations with an ocean and beach.

How very sweet, Mary! I love your little sandpipers in the foreground, and the great silhouette of the romantic couple. I love that you combined stamps from several sets for this picture. I rarely think to do that, but you did it to perfection. I want to go to the beach! ;-)
