For Toni's fun WT challenge today ~ Lots of Dots. I used paper, white gel pen dots and even a few Enamel Accent dots too - and now I can't find my bottle of Enamel Accents anywhere!! Where did I put the darn thing...
And also for this week's CCEE Stampers challenge from Shirley, which was a recipe.
We were to use 2 circles, 1 oval and two or more octagons (or decagons) on your card. I think that has since been modified to include hexagons too, but too late for me! I used buttons for my circles, and I hope it's OK that I matted my oval. Octagons, decagons??? I only have hexagon dies so I had to take a couple of geometry lessons to learn how to cut octagons and decagons. In the end I went with the octagons for my card .
For Toni's challenge, my paper is BoBunny Double Dot. I used Hero Arts Hoot Hoot Hooray. First of all I stencilled the branch onto the oval with the negative on an MFT branch die. Then I stamped the owls and coloured them with pencils.. Background coloured with Chipped Sapphire and dotted with a white pen. I added some stitching lines with a black pen, a little corner flourish (Pink Cat Studios Shabby Chic), and the sentiment that goes with the owls. The buttons are stitched on, and I added a few graduated dots of black Enamel Accents on the oval mat layer.

So cute card, Sabrina! Like those owls and all that faux stitching on your card. Fun + creative to place the buttons inside the hexagons. Like your flourish corners, too.

A great card using perfect balance of design and the elements required for this challenge. These owls are really cute.
