This week's Mixability Challenge was to create a patchwork ode to our past life - well, this is an ode to my patchwork days or, as one of our groups' sons called it, "Stitch & *****" mornings!! I have kept a lot of my materials, or "fat quarters", chose these 3, and die cut the materials using the leafy square die. Had originally done 9 squares but ended up cutting off 3 squares so that I could easily emboss and not have too big a card! Adhered to Strawberry Slush C/s and ran through Cuttlebug with an EF to quilt. Die cut the hearts and stamped strawberry c/s with Baroque Motifs using Versamark and heat embossed with Pool Party EF. Raised the hearts, using dimensionals onto quilted bg. Sponged, with distress ink, the edges of the quilted bg and the card itself. Added button & sentiment.
This is also for this week's Free For All Challenge to use bright colours.
TFL!!

Oh, I bet this is such a fabulous card "in the hand" with those fabric squares. It has such a wonderful look even on screen, and you've used wonderful colours, I really like the red and teal.

Wow Sue this is beautiful. I laughed at the reference to your "stitch" mornings, and was also reminded of the huge pile of fat quarters I have stashed away somewhere. Back to your gorgeous card. I love it !!

Wow! Lots of color, I love the repetition of curved edges against the squares. Great idea to offset the hearts to just peek out. I am so glad you played my Mix-Ability challenge!
(had to laugh at stitch & *****)
