This is Wendy's fun Free for All challenge - Bright and Beautiful.
Have you ever made a card where it is 99% finished then disaster strikes? I made the background and Rubys dress by water colouring with distress inks and coloured pencils and a bit of white paint for the clouds.
The hair on Ruby was lacking something so I made the decision to use copic markers...fatal mistake. Rather than bin this card I decided to go crazy with her hair and add some fun doodling and a caption to suit.
Have a great week end everyone and thank you for looking.

This is So fun! What a refreshing take on this Phyllis Harris image, Susie! When disaster strikes it is never, ever at the beginning of a project! I love your cover up! Thanks for the chuckles! I love the grasses on this one!

Love those "when all else fails...punt" moments. This is such a fun card. That awesome hair is what caught my attention. I love it. The sentiment is so funny. I need to frame it and hang it on the wall. I figure that of my 56 years, if I added up all the time spent trying to get my hair to look half way descent, it would equal about 7 years. Fantastic colors and water coloring.

Been there, done that - 99% and disaster strikes, but I rarely manage to find a way to save it. I would never have guessed there had been a disaster. This is just the cutest and haven't we all had that bad hair day (many more times).

My hair has been the bane of my existence in this lifetime... it has made me LATE more times than I care to say. The notice of high humidity causes me to hyper ventilate! Actually I have become much more relaxed in my old age.... but I digress....LOVE this! Nancy is right, your grasses on this ROCK and I think her hair became a "happy" accident! I love that you saved this wonderful card and shared it with all of us so we could smile....
