| | I made this for the Sentiment Challenge over at Crafter's Companion USA. I love how it turned out!
I white embossed the sentiment stamp on a Mermaid Cardstock die-cut label. Then I sponged Mermaid Ink right over the top of the embossed sentiment. I used an old rag to buff it around and wipe off the ink that got on the white embossing. It really gave depth to the piece!
Next, I took a white gel pen and hand-doodled around the outer edge of the label. The label is adhered to card with foam adhesive. I embellished with a bow made from paper cording and a couple paper flowers from my stash. The center of the flowers were a yellow color...so I just colored them with a black Spectrum Noir marker.
I used the Chevrons Embossing Folder from on my card base and rounded the corners with a punch. A panel of black cardstock and designer paper along and more of that white paper cording are adhered flat to the card base.
