I have been intrigued by the watercolor backgrounds I am seeing and k_dunbrook mentioned in one of her gallery posting that she was using background stamps with inks and then misting the inked stamp before stamping with it. I wanted to try it on a textured background, so I used linen cardstock. I really like how the bricks in the background took on dimension. Next time, though, I would thump a little olive green in places on the bricks before misting to create algae spots. I decided to stamp the sentiment directly onto the background rather than layering it and I like the distressed graffiti look.

This really came out nice. The combination of the watercolor misting and the textured paper creates a really great look. And I love the pop of raspberry color!
