This is my card for the TLC488 challenge "No-Iron Resist". This technique uses crumpled wax paper sparingly inked with VersaMark to "stamp", then heat emboss with clear ep to create a resist when applying color.
I love this technique - it gives awesome results! I added some water drops to my background and applied Viva Decor Ferro paste through the TCW stencil. I cut a thin strip of vellum for the sentiment stickers and attached with glue on the ferro paste so it wouldn't be obvious.
The poppies were cut from the black backing of a Darice ef package - it's not quite as shiny as glossy cs, and it's free! The die cut is glued to the background layer with the exception of the two large blooms. They have black foam squares behind them for a little dimension.
The card base was stamped with an IO background stamp inked with VersaMark and heat embossed with clear ep.
As always, thanks for looking!

Jody, your background is not only gorgeous but so imaginative! You have such a way of combining techniques for unique results! This is so perfect for the black silhouette and I love the fact that you recycle packaging!
This is so beautiful!!
