This doesn't look like a typical mixed media card, but here is my card for the MIX 76 challenge "Finger Painting" - to use your fingers as tools along with paints of some type on your project. I chose watercolors.
I was really just playing around with this before starting a real card, but I liked it so well I decided to go with it. The focal is really small, because the scrap wc paper I was playing on was small, so I chose to layer it on a large mat. T think the polka dots go well with the whimsical feel of the focal. Anyway, after painting with a finger rubbed in the wc pallette, I let the piece dry and added the stamping over the watercolor. I stamped the first part of the sentiment and traced over the flower petals and the word "Sending" with Wink of Stella. Black Dazzles were added to the flower centers and the image adhered to the mat with foam tape. Glued the die cut "hugs" in place and added some baker's twine.
This was a fun card to make; I really like how it turned out. And always, thanks for looking!

Fantastic Jody!! Don't you just love days like that when messing around turns into a wonderful card? Love the pinks and the stamping in your fingerpaint! This does sound like SO much fun and how wonderful it turned out!

Jody, I love it. So bright and full of joy. The two color sentiment looks great and I love the colors. The dot bkg is perfect. This has a very retro look. Gorgeous card.
