A labour of love! I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to print the stamp twice to cover the 6'' square background, and sponged the edges with River Rock. I cut 2 doilies into 1/4's and layered 3 of them in the corners, to mimic lace. I distressed a hand cut oval and added White Opal liquid pearls around the large oval. I cut 2 SB dahlias and wet them thoroughly before scrunching and squeezing the petals together. Once dry I shaped them and added a large pearl - pearl swirls, leaves and string and it's done!

Oh my! This is extraordinary! I love the subtle shading the River Rock gives your background. That flower is dynamite! What a gorgeous card and very very perfect for a 70th birthday. TFS

I LOVE this! I sat up late this last week looking at tutorials on water distressed flowers and I made a card but have not posted it yet. I opened this and see your beautifully made flower and it made me smile! I love this and I can tell you put some serious labor (and love) into this card. It is stunning...Pinned and faved!
