This Mini Album is based on Kay Williamson's project featured in the February Club Scrap Stamp Club Kit. The Style Stone Stamper's Project Kit includes 6 of the Style Stones, 3 Brass Clasp Sets, 3 Pre-Cut Paper Strips, 1 yd Brown Stretch Cord, and the following items that I didn't use... Seed Beads, 4 Cutout Strips, 1 yd Black Cord, 1 Yard Black Ball Chain, and 4" Antique Brass Ball Chain.
I inked the stone with the Adirondack Currant Dye Ink but it would not dry, even heat setting... so I added the Laminating Glue, creating a glossy paint. After it dried I stamped with White StazOn and Black StazOn, allowed that to dry and went over it with a thin layer of Adirondack Wild Plum Acrylic Paint, allowed that to dry (semi translucent and shimmery depending on the angle, wonderful interference qualities to it!) then stamped the swirls in the Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy. I wrapped the front cover in the Purple Organza Ribbon and then used The Ultimate! glue to adhere the Prima Flower and Bead.
I also painted the back of each tile with a mixture of the Acrylic Paint and the Laminating Glue before adhering the pages. (The pages were stamped with the Adirondack Current with a background image collaged onto it, the same image that was used for the White StazOn on the cover. They are folded accordion style with the backsides glued together.)
I then wrapped both tiles in the Copper Foil Tape and burnished it with a Bone Folder... Pierced the predrilled holes thru the Copper Foil Tape. Then I used a beading needle to thread the Elastic Cord, Beads, and Brass Clasps onto the book.
Note: Depending on the angle that you view the book you will either see the basecolor as the Currant or as the Cranberry, you will also see different stamped images depending on the angle... The Pearlescent swirls, the White LMCTW background image, or the Black "LOVE" barcodes and hand. Also, I applied the glue and paints in a criss cross diagonal pattern to mimic the diagonal minigrid texture of the papers inside.
