So I started out by drawing these leaf/petal shapes and cutting them out. Then I covered them in gesso to stiffen them. I used alcohol inks (cranberry, terra cotta, celery) to color the leaves. I used a white gel pen and a black multiliner to add interest to the leaves, then I curled them a bit (which was made easy by the gesso).
I really wasn't sure what I was going to do with my flower/leaves, but I knew I wanted to send it to my sister-in-law. She needs some encouragement.
So that's my story and I'm sticking to it
