Lately I have been trying to draw my own designs. This is one of them. I told my kids to give me some ideas of something to draw and an elephant and mouse tea party was my daughter's idea. She has been away at camp this week and hasn't seen the drawing yet, so I am sending her this card tonight as a "warm fuzzy." (nice little notes of encouragement) I colored the main image with water color prisma pencils and did the sky with water color crayons. I also made the bg using verve stamps and water color crayons. I colored directly on the stamp and then misted them with water. I did the same with the little flower image from TAC. The sentiment came from a $1 bin at Michaels. I tried to give the words an ombre effect by coloring the top light purple and the bottom of the letters a darker purple. I'm not sure how well that shows up.
thanks for taking a peak!

Fantastic drawing! Love the teacup being held by the elephant's trunk! What a wonderful imagination your daughter has to come up with this cute concept!

This is the sweetest little tea party! Geni you are a good mom...your little one will be thrilled to receive this hand drawn depiction of her imagination! I like how you did the sentiment along the edge with the scallop die. So cute!
