Sabrina came up with a new technique today seen here: TLC487 ~ Faux Enamel ~ {6/23/2014} by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
I cut up an aluminum plate to run through the BS with a leaf die cut. I ran it through with an embossing folder for texture and colored with Copics. I think I would have liked the effect better had I had alcohol inks to color with - I guess I could have used some of the re-inkers for my Copics for that. I tried heating this with the UTEE without the Versamark, but the ep didn't stick, so I pressed the leaf into the Versamark pad and then added 3 layers of UTEE. I edged the leaf with a green Sharpie. This reminds me a bit of the Embossed Enamel Leaf technique which is in the Tutorials section of the website. Fun technique to try, and the gallery is full of beautiful examples of it today! TFL

Oh wow - I love seeing French Foliage backgrounds . And - one of my favourite embossing folders even if I don't often use it. I just love the little birds on it - and I'm so glad you have one perched on that lovely enamelled leaf. It's just so sweet!!
