A big congrats to Katlyn, the newest Featured Stamper! What a wonderful gallery, full of colorful creations! I needed a masculine card so I chose THIS card to case. I kept the car theme & black background but used different images, red instead of orange & left off the ribbon.
I recently received this image & couldnÂ’t wait to color it. And I found out, cars are HARD to color! So many surfaces & angles for light to hit, itÂ’s really an exercise in light direction & shiny surfaces! It took quite a while to color & a number of red Copics. I did a little of my out of the box when I die cut it, then added more die cut layers of dp, red & white. I used a nested pennant for the greeting.
Congrats again, Katlyn! Thanks so much for looking! It's just been posted on my blog with the colors of Copics I used. The Write Stuff

Julie, this is a fabulous masculine card - I find them hard to pull off but you nailed this, especially the colouring - it looks like one shiny Chevy!!!

wow Julie what a great masculine card... you did a remarkable job of the colouring of the image....love it... also love the little pennant with sentiment, the way you put the image outside of the box at the front and the colour combo.... so very well done...
