Seems like I have had to make way too many sympathy cards lately. Somehow clouds and sympathy cards seem to go together..in my head anyway. I sponged the background using a torn paper towel and ballet blue ink. I like the ragged look that the towel makes rather than a smooth line of paper. Black embossing and stamping finishes this very simple card.

It is always hard to make sympathy cards, but this is so warm and comforting. The tiny bird in the distance looks beautiful. Your clouds look fantastic...I will have to try your technique.

Wow! Stunning, Sue! I love your clouds- they are so realistic looking and have sooo much depth. Amazing, and perfect for this sympathy card. I may have to case. So sorry you needed this im the first place. I am needing them all to often as well.

WOW!!! I love love love this!! I am going to try using paper towels like you mentioned; the black bird is awesome against that sky ... awesome! I am sorry to hear that you are having to make a lot of sympathy cards - my heart goes out to you. This is going into my favs.
