Linking to TLC486, which is using a die to make a stencil. I had tried this with several dies cutting the clear sheet that stamps come on, but found that with the more intricate dies this did not work as well. So this time I used a very large post-it and it cut beautifully. The top part of the post-it was sticky so I just needed to tape down the other edges before blending the inks over the stencil. I actually used more of a "pouncing" motion so as to not bend back the intricate pieces of the stencil.
Sprayed it with shimmer spritz for sparkle and shine. Die cut the "happy", embossed the rest of the greeting on a vellum strip, and then assembled and added the dots. The silver embossed birthday wishes shows up better in real life.
