We're having hot sunny summery weather here! I'd love to be with Cathy at the beach :D. Instead I'm doing some major multi-tasking with this card since it's averaging in the mid-eighties in my attic, with no air-con.
Cathy's challenge ~ WT484 Sand
It's also for this week's MMTPT307 The Ocean Can Calm the Troubled Soul challenge - this image seemed to capture Sheri's poem so perfectly - and for the current One Layer Card ODBD challenge.
I cut the base and used the SAMJ to position the image in the centre of the card. Scored round the edge of the image twice, leaving a gap above the tall grasses. Coloured the sun, rocks, grass and foam with pencils, then with masking I sponged the sea, sky and sand in.
Added some Stickles, and a sentiment. With a Versamark pen I added some Old Paper distress ep to the sand.

Sabrina this is just outstanding...I really need some new adjectives. Such a dramatic beach scene, I can almost smell the ocean. I love your card and that is a huge compliment coming from me since I am one of the few people in California that really hates the beach. In fact, my sons are at the beach tonight celebrating the end of school and I am doing a happy dance that they are finally old enough to go with friends.

Lovely scene with beautiful colouring. Elegant scoring too!
