I found this neat piece of handmade paper in my stash and decided that it should be used.. to-day! I am very sorry that the amazing sparkle of the paper doesn't show up very well in the photo. It's really glittery...honest... The background die is from Dee's Distinctively dies and the lotus is from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I cut the scalloped circle from a spellbinders die but I didn't have a smaller circle to fit the inside so I dug out my very old EKSuccess circle cutter.. and presto! This children is what us 'old timers' used way before die-cuts were invented!..hard to imagine I know...really!!! LOL I found just enough ribbon in my scrap pile to fit the bill. Lucky!!!!

Now I can understand your comment today about my gold leafing pen *laughing* Better go get another one because they are tons of fun to use. This is a beautiful Asian themed card. The black and gold are a perfect combination for that lovely lotus.

Not only beautiful, but so elegant, Sue! A wonderful combination of dp's and die cuts to make the Asian Beauty! Oh, I still have, and use my old Fiskars circle cutter, it's great for the larger circles!

This is a gorgeous, distinctive, and clever card! I love the way you blended the different dies to produce a lovely oriental look card. I like your comments re 'old school'! :-) I have a full set of SB circles and ovals but still use my original CM cutting system for both. You never know when you'll need that special size!

I saw that die cut before, and wondered how it could be used. obviously, you figured it out beautifully! what a gorgeous card with all the gold and black.
