I made this card for my Father for Father's Day. I hope he will like it. He loves the ocean - and has enjoyed many years out on his boat with my Mom.
I created the base panel - Started with some designer papers. Crumpled the paper. Applied mono sealant with a credit card - I used a tim holz stencil - "splatter". Next I rubbed some brown sand into the sealant - heated with heat gun. Next I stamped on some versamark ink and clear embossed. Next I applied versamark ink and applied gold embossing. Matted with black and sewed edges. For the image panel I stamped the image on lined paper and stamped image again. Coloured the star fish. Cut out one star fish. Sponged around edges of image panel with close to cocoa and walnut stain. Matted with black. Sewed edges and then applied the gold embossing around edgtes. Added the hinges. I hand wrote the "Dad" sentiment. Attached it to the top hinge. Tied string around base panel. Popped up image panel. Then popped up the base and image panel onto the Kraft cardstock.
This works for the Ways to use it WT483 - Twine

OH Pat...this is stunning! I read what you did and how you did it, but I couldn't do it if I tried! It looks like REAL leather to me! I thought it was a mini photo album, until I read your description! Either way, I LOVE IT! :D
