This card is to honor Queen Nancy better know on SCS as stiz2003. Nancy has a most gorgeous gallery, which you can see here: Gold leafing by stiz2003 at Splitcoaststampers
This is the card I chose to CASE Gold leafing by stiz2003 at Splitcoaststampers
Where Nancy did gold leafing on embossing paste, I went possibly the easier route, I did it on a die cut that had double sided adhesive on it. I don't own a gelli plate (yet), but I did make my own bg with various inks and sponges.
I even did the sewing with the beading needle as Nancy does, it sure lets me know my eyesight is in need of greater help! I think I'll stick with my larger eyed needles.
Nancy, enjoy your reign. I'm sorry it took so long, the first effort wasn't up to par, so this is my 2nd attempt!
I have a memorial to attend, so I'll be back later to comment on the beautiful gallery honoring Nancy!

Jennifer, this one blew me away! It was you who introduced me to that piercing tool and I must agree about vision and getting that puppy threaded (grin) but I love it. From the looks of that fabulous background I see no rush for a gelli. The blending is impeccable! Jennifer, I am honored that you cased my card and created such a beautiful, colorful work of art.

This is truly gorgeous! Everything about is beautiful - the background, the leafed die cut, and the stitching (which I didn't even attempt). Love it!

That leaf looks like a fine piece of antique jewellery! So beautiful! I am soooo impressed by your background. I love the subtle mottled colouring. Gorgeous card!

Jennifer this is a lovely tribute to Nancy. Your variegated gold leaf is stunning as a fern frond. Love the beautiful colors you chose for a bg palette.
