I made this to honor our Queen "Nancy". She has so many wonderful cards to choose from! I have had this same stamp, forever and unused so I decided to pick this card! CAS266 Dreamy by stiz2003 at Splitcoaststampers
This has taken me the better part of the day (a few restarts). My good friend Loll mailed me the card she made in tribute of my being FS and she included 3 stencils she made with her Silhouette. This is one of them. This is the first time I have used a stencil. I have many Tim Holtz Distress inks but I love these colors together so out they came again! I embossed the stamp with white embossing powder. Then I applied the stencil and used the Peacock Feathers with a sponge. Then I proceeded to sponge the Mowed Lawn and Violet on the flower. A few tries later and some spritzing with water I decided it was as good as it was going to get. The three pearls are covering up an "OOPS"... I stamped the Simon Says "Blessings" last in Black Onyx... and I did not get as crisp a stamp as I would have liked. I probably should have stamped it earlier on when I was in the "redo" stage of this card and I would have had a better feel for it. One re-learns something new with every card. (smiling).
Nancy, I am happy to have accomplished this before your week was over! I decided I wanted to do something out of my "comfort zone" for you. I hope you like it.
Thanks for taking the time to look!

Peggy, it's beautiful! I love the soft colors and stenciling on this! I'm SO honored that you made this casing mine! I did smile at your description because for every success I have, there are no less than three in the trash! I was at a loss for ideas using this stamp again, but I may just "lift" the stencil idea! What gorgeous matting matching your image. Thank you SO much!

Peggy, this is lovely! If at first we don't succeed, try it again Kittie (Kittie747) gave me some good advice. She said, you can always create your card a second time. Make the changes you think are needed. It's good practice. I love the softness to this, and I'm sure Nancy is going to love it as well. How could she not. It came from your heart. : )
