I'll be back. Taking a deep, cleansing breath.... This is finished & I don't think there will be another card like this!! I took ALL day to make this, with a bank run & dinner break!!
My gd Nicole graduates on Sat. Where did the time go? Seems like she was just starting school!! Anyway, I decided she needed a 'killer' card! I've been wanting to make one of these & when they were the TLC I knew it would be for her. OK, as you can see my math skills lack something as I ended up with 3 blocks instead of 4. (good thing I didn't need too many math skills in the OR!) I purchased Jolee's grad stickers with a white cap & gown. Nicole will wear red (boys wear grey). I wanted to dye the gown & used almost 1/2 bottle of Real Red re-inker. Well, the ink kept coming off! After 2 days of dye work, I gave up & went to Pintrest to see if anyone 'made' a gown. Here is that link. Now the card details..
Front: Just stickers, die cuts & dp, school colors (other post)
Inside: Gown, dry embossed stars & cap w/ brad
Blocks: MHS & KSU cuttlebug alpha
Back: Computer generated KSU items
Thanks for stopping by.

What a special card for your gd. I like the card with three blocks, and that is just what you needed for the school letters. The star ef looks awsome and all the little details are perfect. Congrats on a terrific card and on this very special event.

Hmm - I'm baffled about how you ended up with an extra fold! But you certainly ended up with a fabulous card for your granddaughter. If I've got this right, you have both her old school colours and then a transition into her future college ones? That's cool - you got good use from your extra panel.
And I'm sorry you had such trouble with the gown. It must have been some sort of glossy finish that didn't take the re-inker, and I guess alcohol-based markers would have done it. But sheesh, I've spilled my red re-inkers more than any other and I thought they penetrated just about everything!! For ever...

Well, looking at mine I think you don't have an extra fold after all - that happens when you bend the blocks inward. And since 3 blocks worked perfectly for the school and college, I wouldn't worry in the least bit about not having four blocks .

Karen, WOW! This had to be a lot of work and thanks for the link to the gown! It's fabulous! She will LOVE this! I love that embossed panel and like the card just as well with three blocks instead of four! What an incredible job you did!
