This is my masculine take on today's Ways to Use it Challenge to incorporate feathers. I have these cool feathers in my stash and used the colors in them to drive my design. I pulled a sheet of CitraSolv magic paper that I'd made long ago using Lydia/Understand Blue's . It is basically spreading a citrus based cleaner onto the magazine page to dissolve and remove much of the ink. This piece had cool panels that were created by the technique. I stamped onto this piece in Espresso. I stamped Hardwood in Espresso onto Chocolate Chip. (If you're interested here's a cool page that gives an idea of ink/paper combos for the Hardwood stamp)I added some squares in accent colors and textures. I used a corduroy brad to accent my feathers (I placed the brad then fiddled around with the feathers tilting them in different angles using the brad to hold them in place-I did glue them down in the end) I had the base in "leftovers" pile already having embossed and sponged on some color.

That citrasol technique makes for some really wonderful designs. Fun layout for this rather abstract piece and I really like how you added the feather.

I love those real feathers and what a way to add nature to a masculine card.

Your citrasolve panel is fascinating, Gail - it almost looks like wood. I wish I could find something here that would work, sometimes it's very hard trying to "translate" American products. Love the feather - I was trying to find a little bag I had with coloured ones in it.
