Frances's super-fu challenge to the CCEE Stampers this week is to use a clear element on our cards. There are a whole bunch of ways to do this (including last week's Stand Up Shapes tutorial), and it's a challenge I always enjoy. Today I used the Sparkly Stained Glass technique, using a diecut shape instead of a stamped image.
Base sponged with black.
I scored the grey card to look like a brick wall and sanded it a bit.
Acetate window has a Lattice die embossed with black EP laid over it, and I added the glitter from behind with Glossy Accents. PB sentiment. I'd wanted to have the sprig of holly over the window rather than using it in the corners, but it didn't look right. So I'm not totally happy with this but DH likes it.

Gorgeous!! I tried this technique once, a long time ago, and NO success with it, so I am in awe of your ability to do it so well!! The sparkle is amazing, and the picture of it came out so beautifully!!!

This is FABULOUS! Love the background bricks, the little lift on the holly leaves and all that wonderful sparkle! The scroll sentiment is gorgeous too.
