I went to a craft get-together last night where one woman brought her collection of over 100 stencils and the complete set of Distress inks each with their own blending tool. We all got to play and make stencilled backgrounds. I used a flower stencil with the colours of this week's Color Challenge. It looked perfect for a Christmas card and the flowers on the stencil made me think of poinsettias, so when I got home, I die-cut the Tim Holtz Tattered Poinsettia, and added a yellow pearl and a sentiment with olive green ribbon.
The Color Challenge is called "Really Old Daffodil", and the name of the die-cut "Tattered Poinsettia" makes me think it's an old poinsettia, hence the name for my card.

I would never have thought to apply that colour scheme to Christmas, but you have done it so perfectly, Susan I love that tattered poinsettia die that you added as well. Beautiful.
