Looked up the flower and gem for November and found that from the 15th to the 20th century they were Chrysanthemum, Pearl and Topaz. Thus my yellow (topaz), Chrysanthemum (which I am lucky to have a CL die set for) and pearls. After 3 false starts with different designs, and three interruptions for errands I finally came up with a design using the flower I made at 7:00 AM. I resorted to using DP for my BG (something I should do more often). I had trouble persuading my pearl strand to stay put, but Glossy accents convinced it to stick. My room is a disaster - have to go clean up the mess!

Oh my gosh is your card classy!!! Really beautiful!!! The third time must have been the charm. My room is a disaster too. Some of my most creative moments come during the mess. Or maybe that's when I make the mess. I love the topaz and pearl look. Your flower definitely was a keeper and glad you got to use it. :>)

My room is always a mess when I get done making a card! Aren't some days just crazy? Glad you stuck with the card and finally got to finish it! It's beautiful....the top piece of dp is gorgeous with the soft white flowers.....and lucky you to have that chrysanthemum die!

Priscilla, this is one gorgeous card! I had the same kind of day today. I'm going to clean my crafting room in a few. I love the dp you used. Both are so pretty as is your flower. Great job, and I'm glad you stuck with it because your card turned out beautiful.

I know what you mean about false starts..it happened to me on Tuesday with a card I thought would be easy..it wasn't. This turned out quite lovely and I do like the pairing of the dp with the fancy trim and that awesome flower!

I am so hoping in the future you do flower tutorials! Yours are so well done! I too, never use DP and love the way you paired up the two pieces to match your chrysanthemum!

Your third attempt is fantastic! I love that flower along with your designer paper. Your comments about your attempts did make me smile, I can't tell you how many of my "creations" have ended up in the recycling bin. ;)
