Oh, Michelle and Sabrina...thanks for your inspiring samples and creative challenge! I love cork...especially if I am poppin' bottles (JK)!!!
My card was EASY peasy...I'd spied yet another ad in a magazine recently I thought would make a good card. It was a cool black and white of a woman practicing yoga. I was going to lay it down on a black background and then use the silhouette, but with todays challenge, cork seemed to be calling me. And besides it is flexible! And so I tacked it to the piece of cork, 'clumsy' cut around her to release the image.
Thought she should climb mountains...which is what I like to do if I am not on a bicycle (or playing with paper). The fabric sticker is an Edgar Degas quote:
ART is not what you see, but what you make others see
That's it 3 elements. Thanks so very much for leaving a comment. How's your flexibility??? My home is always open...come climb with me...

I too thought it was a ballerina and had to study it....at first I thought it was a branch....But, I can see clearly now. Man, she sure can split her legs. Cool card, Susan!

Ohio and Oregon neighbors only on the Coast!! And, no I don't thinking cleaning is playing.
I love your card! If this is clumsy cutting I don't want to see your precise fussy cutting! What a cool idea... love your lady. The background is awesome too.
Wonderful addition to the gallery. Wish I could visit you.....

WooHoo, she IS flexible!! This reminds me of "So You Think You Can Dance" show...I just love those young people and their tremendous athletic ability!! Anyone who hasn't seen that show should definitely watch it especially after the top 20 are picked...that is when it gets really good. Oh ya, your card!
Lovely, I love your cork dancer!!! I love your bg too!

Your flexible cork lady is wonderful, Susan - but it's the mountainous background I totally love. Practising on the small slopes before heading to the uplands, is what I see here.
