oh, Lydia, what a perfect MIX today, one to just go into the studio and PlaY...going back to kindergarden! I love this long retired Wordsworth rainbow swoosh and thought it would be wonderful for scribbling with my wax crayons (Gelatos). I embossed the image one and half times across the top of the Basic Grey 'Mon Ami' city skyline and then used the crayons to lay down the rainbow color. I had to paper piece the scene as I only had the 12x12 sheet and wanted more of the gloomy rainy fee at the bottom of the page. (I beg my LSS to carry the 6x6's as the scale is so much better for card art, but alas, I made do). The Most Animals rain drop stamp was randomly placed across the sky with VersaMark and embossed with clear. The wonderful truth sentiment (Inkadinkadoo) was inked with VersaColor Black...and easy peasy, kindergarden grade, I was down!
By the way, I did cut my rainbow sky and deckle the inside edge, I wanted to give some dimension to that layer over the skyscape.
Hope you'll look up wherever you are today and spy a rainbow...with all our rain here we are blessed with many 'bows! Have a wonderful weekend, no matter where it takes you.
editing to add this to our Fan Club's April Showers. Thanks for the head's up by one of the newest ladies to join the Dirt Pile...and to those who can't see all the fun, JOIN uP...it is so worth the money to support our awesome community~~~

Oh what a perfect sentiment! I love your grungy rainbow against the grey. We have a grey windy day here and the promise of rain. We need some more to scrub the winter dirt away. (your thumbnail reminds me of a rainbow sprinkled cupcake ...must be time for afternoon tea) :-)

Wow Susan this looks wonderful. This also fits this months Fan Club Central Theme of April Showers. Everything about this is terrific my friend. There is something about rainbows that always makes me smile.

Oh now aren't you the clever missy - using your Gelatos! I love my Gelatos. Frankly anything that sounds like gelato has to be good (she smiles). Terrific look here!

Another amazing creation! Fabulous dimension with the cut edge of that unbelievably gorgeous rainbow. The cityscape looks awesome with the raindrops. Love this one, too!

This is amazing - I love how your rainbow shimmers like the real thing and pairing it with grey is pure genius and ties the whole thing together. Beautiful!

my granddaughter Clare saw her first rainbow this spring. A double one, just awesome (daughter sent me a picture). Clare loved it. Your sentiment is so true.
