Congrats to Barbie, the newest Featured Stamper! She has such a wonderful gallery and it was so hard to chose just one, so I chose 2! For this card, I chose THIS card to case. I just love the ballerina slippers, they remind me of the ballet classes I took. I kept the ballet theme & slippers, but I used different images, different layout and a little bit different colors.
After stamping & coloring with Copics, I used my out of the box Nestie technique to die cut her. With the die still in place, I sponged a little antique linen ink around the edges. I did the same with the greeting. The embossed circle was done by first embossing an ornament die onto white card stock, die cutting with a circle die, then I sponged on some of the antique linen & also some rose coral chalk ink.
The ballet slippers were fussy cut & I added some Copic dyed seam tape and button with a narrow ribbon bow tied through it. The background is a piece of designer paper that I added more of the pink color to & sponged it around the edges.
Congrats again, Barbie! Thanks so much for looking! It's also on my blog: The Write Stuff

Julie, I knew immediately the card you chose as inspiration. Your card is fabulous. Your coloring wonderful and I love the script and sheet music in the BG. Thank you so much for honoring me this week with your creation. Have a Happy Easter!
