What fun is the DirtySpies challenge for April. I spied former dirty girl lisa lara's my favorite peep and off I was!
My egg is a marvelous 1991 stamp from Stampa Barbara. I have used it both horizontally and vertically. It was inked with the VersaFine Smoky Gray and embossed with sea foam powder. I colored it with 3 shades of Copics, including Robins' egg blue (wink)!
The chick, another old stamp was inked directly to card stock to appear coming from inside the egg. She's inked with the Thatched Straw VersaMagic ink and then fuzzy fuzz from whom I forget was scattered around to give some dimension. I popped the egg just a bit.
Found a bold dp for just a pop behind, stapled it on with turquoise staples, added a wee bit of print in the Close to My Heart 'Sketchy Lowercase', added a die cut heart for the 'LUV'.
Tim Holtz Linen Ribbon finished it off.
I am always excited to see the current Fan Club challenges and Dirty Girls. I appreciate their wonderfully varied and creative work.
editing to add: I changed just about everything in Lisa's card...kept the peep, chick, and egg!
If you haven't joined the Fan Club, why KNOT???

How cute is this???? I love your cracked egg and how you placed it around the stamped (and adorable!) chick! Your linen ribbon and those fun turquoise staples are wonderful accents!

I have not heard of this challenge. I am honored you were inspired by my card. I love your egg and that you captured its 3D essence. This is such a sweet card with the chick and sentiment. Love it.
