When I was using my baby wipe to sponge on color for a background I loved how it was dying my baby wipe a pretty color. I added more ink to my kraft mat, spritzed my inky baby wipe with a little extra water and smooshed it up to get an even color. After I let the baby wipe dry, I sandwiched it between two pieces of copy paper and punched out my pansies. I cut and layered the pansies to create a 3-d flower. It looks just like felt. The seam binding was dyed by adding Imperial ink to the inside of a baggy, I spritzed it with water and smooshed the seam binding around to add the color. I liked it less smooshed keeping a more variegated look. Remove the seam binding, and let it dry on your kraft mat. Now you have matching seam binding for your project.
