I made 3 cards today using today's sketch, and each one was hard for me to make. Not hard in the sense of techniques, because that part was easy for me. What made them hard was my heart breaking. A 38 year old dad died because of cancer leaving behind his wife and two teenaged, (15 and 13) daughters. I can't imagine the pain that my friends are going through right now. It almost seems foolish to think that a couple of pieces of paper can make any difference, but that along with my prayers is all I can give. The sentiments that I used on the cards are from Diane's Daydream Designs PEACE and REST sentiment set. The two cards with the piano keyboards on them are for the two girls. I wanted to make them as similar as I could. The sentiment in the set says"just know that I really card, that if you need me I'm there and that each day I'll be in prayer." I cropped it because I don't live close and I can't really BE THERE. The 3rd card instead of having the keyboard, I have burlap for the vertical panel. I am going to share these cards in the Word Art Wednesday challenge.

MariLynn, my heart is breaking for you. I so understand as we almost have the same situation here. Mark, age 37, was just diagnosed with stage 4 kidney and lung cancer. He has twin girls age 6. Experimental chemo has begun.
Anyway, you are lovin these piano cards, as am I. I love how you do them. This is beautiful.

These cards are lovely and speak your love in such a special way, especially when words are just so hard to express in times like this.
