I made this card for Freshly Made Sketches 130. I was determined to use the See Ya Later set, as my niece had helped me through a rough patch recently. For some reason, though, the card just wouldn’t come together. It seemed like one obstacle after another. Originally I placed my “sun” greeting near the bottom, right-hand side in an effort to adhere to the sketch. It just didn’t look right until the “ah hah” moment that led me to place it in the sky above the houses, where it belonged. Of course, that required me to invert the entire sketch. Next, when I placed my Baja Breeze panel in the TIEF, the clouds floated vertically rather than horizontally. So, I had to reposition the panel, which meant that my clouds were abruptly cut off ¾ of the way down the paper. So, to accommodate the blank part, I had to add the Old Olive “grass”, which then seemed to detract from the sketch design. Sheesh! I won’t bore you with the rest. You get the gist of it. Guess that’s why they call it a challenge!!
