I bought this stamp recently to have ready for the HYCCT challenges in October, but sadly it seemed to be a good one to pull out today. It was a beautiful bright sunny morning and then when I went out shopping I met one of our neighbours who told me her cancer was back :-(. I couldn't even hug her, since she's undergoing aggressive chemo and is practically in quarantine for fear of infection, so I'll drop this down later on instead of a hug...
I used Joan's Embedded Diecuts (which I know as inlaid diecuts) to make a CAS card. I sure learned my lesson the hard way about using intricate dies the first time I tried this, rolls eyes, so I used a very simple die today.
Cut the poppy, layered the green paper onto the same as the poppy was cut from, re-inserted the poppy.
Stitched, since I'd already been dress-making sewing this morning and was still in the sewing mood, added sentiment and then some little butterflies with pears.

This is just lovely. Wonderful, cheerful color palette and a clean and simple layout using those die cuts to perfectly frame that great sentiment.

I am so sorry to hear about your neighbor. What a great card you have made for her. The sentiment and beautiful colors will brighten her day. You did a great job with the inlaid die cut technique. Dress making, cooking...is there anything you don'f do. I'm still using my cook book to cut up for craft projects.

I would have been scared to cut the poppies in a print, but they look pretty cool. "Scared to try" is my weak point. I'm glad you did. It's a very pretty card.
