Today's Ways to Use It challenge is called "Spring means new beginnings" - to use something new you have not used before. The twist is - the item must be at least one month old, if possible. Well my item is more like four months old - I bought the Poppy Stamps / Memory Box stamp and matching die a few months ago and had not yet used it. So I stamped the image and coloured it with coloured pencils, then die cut it. Made some snowy hills for the foreground and did an emboss resist of snowflakes and blue sponging for the sky.
I'm not sure how else to use this stamp / die combo so if anyone has any samples, please share in the comments. It seemed like a great thing to buy when I first bought it but it doesn't seem as versatile as the other Memory Box little landscape dies.
It's also for my April quota for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge.

I love your quaint scene, Susan! I have stamps that have caused me the same issue though even though others have used it beautifully. I think this is wonderful use of this set and would even create multiples of it! Love the rolling snow mounds in the foreground.

What a charming winter scene! I'm so taken with your emboss resist snowflake background. I thought at first you did the snowflakes freehand somehow and then I checked supplies and see you used a Judith stamp - I must put that on my "find" list! As for the landscape die you used, it's not one I've seen before. I can't point you to samples, however, looking at the die & stamp together I see some possibilities for smaller parts to be used. The 2 trees to the left are a separate unit (notice the generous amount of white space between the tree & the first house). The next natural break occurs between the house on the right and the tree grouping with the deer. I bet you could mask the stamp to reflect those separate groups (the group with 2 trees; the group of house/2 trees/ house and the group of tree/2 deer/tree). Stamp one of those sections onto the die cut piece and trim so that you have only that section to use. I've seen lots of samples with small pieces of the landscape die cuts used in CAS design cards. This would just be a stamped/die cut version of that. This idea might not work how I'm envisioning it, but perhaps it will give you an idea how to use this die in another way.
This is a great card and you are so smart to get started on your cards for next winter now, before the daisies bloom! TFS

This is SO CUTE!!! Looking at that image, I think you could easily pull that one tree on the left out on its own for a small accent, but that's all I could see quickly. Thanks for shopping in your own stamp room with me this week!

Oh no! Just when the snow is melting away around here, I see a card that is full of snow! The stylized houses and trees are lovely and I like the addition of the deer. A wonderful winter card.
