I think I am loosing it. My mind that is.....let me explain. On Tuesday I got in the car to go to the grocery store as usual, started to idle it out of the garage while carefully watching the right front end so as not to hit the file cabinets. You see, we just recently started parking in the garage which is a tight fit. ANYWAY, while backing up I noticed that the visor on the passenger side was down, so I flipped it up. Little did I know that when I flipped it up somehow I hit the garage door button.
Suddenly I realized the car wasn't moving right, I quickly glanced in the mirror and noticed the door. After yelling "OH CRAP!" I pulled forward and got out to survey the damage.
I tried the garage door but it didn't work quite right. I noticed it had unhooked itself. Fortunately I was able to hook it back up and give it a little straightening job. Whew.
I took a look at the car and it looked fine.......then I really took a look at the car and there were these two long scratches on both corners of the back. OH CRAP again!
Well, long story short, DH didn't kill me. The garage door looks and operates just fine and the car is fine as long as those scratches don't rust!
So today my card is showing how the inside of my brain must look. ALL scrambled up! I used a new Tim Holtz stencil that I have had for way over a month and not used it. I also used a Friskar shape plate that I might have used before but I have had it like forever!!!
Well, I still can't believe I did that.....the car thing. I must be getting old or something! hehe Have a great day all. TFL :0)
Hi Sis!
P.S. this started out as a clean and simple card but every time I touched it a smudge appeared so I tried to cover them up! Must be a crazy brain thing.

Cathy, your card are such a fresh take on "card making"...and this autobiographical one is hilarious. You write as well as you create media art. Always a treat in any gallery. Glad you, the car and garage door are practically unscathed. : )

Seriously, I don't know which is funnier - your card or your story! Super fun card and thanks so much for the fits of giggles you gave me - I was laughing so hard, I could barely read it to my DH!

Too cute! Love the images. By the way, I had a similar experience with a garage door only my car's roof rack somehow pulled the red release string as I was backing out and I hit the door...I know just how you feel!
